Provides rental assistance to those who have become homeless as a result of fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking.
In 2016 the Transitional Housing program housed 48 survivors of violence and their dependents. The flexible structure of this program allows Transitional Housing staff to work individually with each survivor to develop a custom safety and assistance plan to fit the unique needs of program participants. Assistance may include but is not limited to; housing advocacy, safety planning, transportation or financial assistance with rent, utilities, security deposit and other housing related costs. Most program survivors first resided in our emergency shelter before securing their own permanent housing and participating in this program.
